גבריאלה וויינשנקר נולדה בבואנוס איירס ועלתה לארץ ב-1983. היא חיה ועובדת בברוקלין מ-2005. עבודותיה, הכוללות רישום, ציור, וידאו, ומיצב הוצגו בגלריות בניו יורק ורחבי ארה״ב, וכמו כן במוזיאונים, גלריות, וירידי אמנות בישראל, צרפת, גרמניה, נורבגיה, וקנדה. י

גבריאלה היא המייסדת של תכנית שהות האמן הדיגיטלית הבינלאומית ״מורנינג דראווינג רזידנסי״ והיא כותבת על אמנות עבור המגזינים הייפראלרג׳יק בארה״ב, ותוהו בישראל. היא קיבלה תואר ראשון באמנות מהמדרשה בבית ברל ותואר השני באמנות מהאנטר קולג׳ בניו יורק ומלמדת אמנות בתכניות התואר הראשון של האנטר קולג׳ וווילאמס קולג׳. י

Gabriela Vainsencher is an Argentinean-born Israeli artist who has been living and working in Brooklyn since 2005. Her drawings, installations and videos have been shown in galleries across the US, as well as in museums, galleries, and art fairs in France, England, Germany, Norway, Canada, and Israel.

Vainsencher is the founder of the Morning Drawing Residency, and writes about art for Hyperallrgic and Tohu magazines. She received her B.Ed in Fine Arts at The Midrasha School of Art in Israel and her MFA from Hunter College in New York City. She teaches art at Hunter College and Williams College.

עבודות הוידאו שיצרתי בשנים האחרונות משתמשות בסיפורים קלאסיים ומציגות אותם מחדש במרחב העירוני. כל אחת מן העבודות הללו חוקרת את האפשרות של החלל לייצג נראטיב ושל ההולך / צופה לייצר קריאה תלוית מקום. לאחרונה התחלתי לבנות מובי מייקרס ולהשתמש ב’ארכיאולגיה של טכנולוגיה’, על מנת ליצור מכונות הקרנה בעלות זיכרון-ויזואלי מוגבל. המכונות אינן מסוגלות לזכור יותר מדקה. י
